Evil 04:11

Hear the final single from Uncivilized's upcoming full-length album *Garden*, a rambling, blues-inflected romp through Stevie Wonder’s 70s gospel tune “Evil”. Horns, woodwinds, strings, percussion—and a retro transistor organ—are on full blare as this experimental Americana big band builds the song’s core progression into a sweeping statement, full of improvisational flare and heart-on-the-shoulder grit. The bandleader grabs hold at the conclusion with a high-pitched, ringing guitar harmonic as the band drones underneath: a phantasmagorical end to their rendition of this classic American tune.
